The Parrot in Cage Model is an educational visual perception apparatus used to demonstrate the principle of Persistence of Vision. The model creates an optical illusion in which separate images appear to merge into a single image when the discs are rotated at sufficient speed.

The apparatus consists of a sturdy base, metallic support rods, rotating discs operated by wooden handles, a metallic card holder, and laminated image cards. During operation, students observe how the brain combines rapidly alternating images, creating the illusion of a parrot appearing inside a cage.

This model is widely used in physics laboratories, psychology demonstrations, STEM learning activities, and science exhibitions to explain visual perception, optical illusions, and the basic principles behind animation and motion pictures.
